Vernon Lions Club – Baseball

Purpose: Teach good sportsmanship, develop fundamental baseball skills, instill a sense of fair play and encourage teamwork.

Children and students residing in Vernon, Chillicothe, Crowell, Quanah, Electra, and Frederick are eligible to participate. The program is open to all kids who meet the following criteria:

• Must be 5 years old (by May 31st, current year)
• Enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st Grade through 8th Grade

Parents interested in registering their child to play Kid League Baseball should register them online using this website. Electronic check, and or credit/debit required.

Registration Policy

Registration dates are set annually by the League Director, and no registration form(s) will be accepted after the draft unless specifically approved by the Director. The League Director is responsible for verifying each player’s eligibility, and no registration refunds will be issued after the draft has been completed. If a child is placed on a team and a parent/guardian requests that the child be moved, a $45.00 fee will be assessed and must be paid to the League Director prior to any move; all move requests must be submitted in writing with the fee attached on or before the deadline established by the League Director. Requested moves are not guaranteed and will be approved solely at the discretion of the League Director. For Babe Ruth League, a minimum of 36 players is required for the league to be played; if fewer than 36 players register, parents will be contacted and refunds will be issued.
